Mutual Aid in New Orleans
Dear friends,
Here in New Orleans and surrounding areas, hundreds of thousands are still without electricity. However, in every neighborhood, mutual aid efforts have stepped up, offering food, supplies, resources, and other forms of aid. You can see a short video I made highlighting a small illustration of these mutual aid efforts here. There are countless organizations and individuals doing this work. The video is not comprehensive, but an attempt to offer a snapshot of what the city is like in this moment.
I've also worked with Max Rameau on this podcast - check out the recent episodes on Haiti. And a film I worked on long ago has been added to the Criterion Collection, and I’m thrilled about it. See more here.
Finally, I’m thinking about Palestinian prisoners finding hope and freedom.
Sending love and solidarity,
Jordan
